背景:In the party , Tom wants to introduce his aunt to Panpan. His aunt is Chinese.
Tom:Panpan, This is my aunt. Aunt, this is my best Chinese friend.
盼盼:您好!请问,您贵姓?
Aunt:我姓黄。你叫什么名字?
盼盼:我叫盼盼。
Aunt:你好,盼盼。认识你,很高兴。
盼盼:认识您,我也很高兴。

Tom:What were you talking about? I only understood your name.
盼盼: I think you also can understand ”您好”and “你好”, hahaha.
Tom:Panpan, I feel so ashamed!
盼盼:Ok, ok. Don′t worry. I′ll tell you. At first, I said “请问,您贵姓?”. “请问” is used before you ask questions, just like “Excuse me, may I ask some questions?”. “您贵姓” is a polite way of asking someone′s surname. You also can ask “你姓什么?” if you meet the people younger than you. The two forms are same meaning but different use. You should answer “我姓…”. “姓” means “surname” or “one′s surname is”.
Tom:Oh, I see. But how can I say “what ′s your name?”
盼盼: Your aunt asked me “你叫什么名字?”. That is the meaning of “what ′s your name?”. Then I answered "我叫盼盼" which means "My name is Panpan". And at the first time when you meet someone, you can say “认识你,很高兴” to express that “nice to meet you”.
Tom:Now, I get it. I can use these new expressions to make new friends. Thank you, Panpan.
盼盼: My pleasure! But I think we′d better have a review.
(重新放一遍刚才的对话)

盼盼:您好!请问,您贵姓?
Aunt:我姓黄。你叫什么名字?
盼盼:我叫盼盼。
Aunt:你好,盼盼。认识你,很高兴。
盼盼:认识您,我也很高兴。
