These Chinese women have taken their long hair 长发(cháng fà) to new lengths for establishing the Guinness World Record for the world's first long hair village. The Red Yao women are a minority ethnic group from Huangluo Yao Village in China, and they have an average hair length of 5.5 feet. The longest set of locks measure more than 6.8 feet. Incredibly, the women cut their hair only once in their lives; this happens when they are 16-years-old right before they start searching for a husband. The Red Yao people believe that the women's long hair will bring longevity, wealth and good fortune. Do you like long hair 长发(cháng fà) or short hair 短发(duǎn fà)? Why?
